How will the next graduation sessions take place?
Until further notice, the graduation sessions will take place exclusively online, which means that each candidate will connect with the Graduation Committee and take the final examination online, according to the attached schedule.
Bachelor’s and Master’s degree students are required to submit their graduation applications and dissertations through the University’s online portal (Esse3) and select a Supervisor.
Starting from the graduation sessions of March-April 2019, students will be allowed to submit their graduation application exclusively through the online procedure.
Once the student has uploaded his/her final dissertation/thesis, the ‘Final dissertation/thesis’ button will appear in the ‘laureandi assegnati’ webpage. As shown in the video tutorial, by clicking on ‘Final dissertation/thesis’ you will be able to open the attachment, approve or reject the student’s final dissertation/thesis. Please note: the online approval procedure completely replaces the Supervisor’s handwritten signature on the hard copy of the dissertation.

The Graduation Committee will attend the graduation session in streaming. The presentation of the dissertation by the candidate and the entire final examination will take place online (no face-to-face contact with the candidate).
Candidates will be required to show their face and a valid ID document.
The graduation mark is announced to the candidate (online) as soon as the exam session is over. The candidate will then receive a confirmation email to their institutional email account.
The graduation ceremony (proclamazione) can take place online, or it can be postponed to a date to be arranged in the future and announced to the relevant candidates.
Candidates are required to download the University’s distance learning software ‘Zoom’ at least one week before the session at https://univr.zoom.us/ and follow the steps below:
- Once the software installation is complete, open it and click on "Sign in with SSO";
- Enter ‘univr’ in the field ‘Company domain’;
- Log in using your GIA login details.
You will need a device (PC or smartphone) equipped with audio system, webcam and microphone. If you do not have a PC or tablet, you may also use a smartphone (equipped with a webcam) on which you can install the "Zoom Cloud Meetings" app available from Apple's App Store or Google's Play Store. Alternatively, if you do not have an Internet connection, you can attend via telephone (landline or mobile) on speakerphone.
PC/tablet:
On the day of your final examination open zoom (you must first log in clicking on “Sign with SSO”), click on the link included in your ‘Invitation to graduation’ email, and enter the relevant password (this will also be included in the same email).
Smartphone:
On the day of your final examination open the app zoom (you must first log in clicking on “Sign with SSO”), click on the link included in your ‘Invitation to graduation’ email, and enter the relevant password (this will also be included in the same email).
Phone:
On the day of your final examination, call (on speakerphone) the number included in your ‘Invitation to graduation’ email, then enter the ID of the meeting (this will also be included in the same email) followed by #.

The link will be active and available only on the day and at the time of your Online graduation session, according to the details included in your ‘Invitation to graduation’ email.
