Regolamento studenti - Titolo V - art. 22-24 "Studenti part-time"
Study on a part-time basis
Students who, due to work, family or health reasons, feel that they can devote only part of their time to study, may study on a part-time basis.
Students who choose to study on a part-time basis can only benefit from special conditions concerning the duration of their chosen degree programme and the amount of the relevant tuition fees; moreover, they will have the opportunity to earn their degree over a period of time that is twice the normal duration of the programme, without being considered ‘fuori corso’.
Student fees and benefits
Part-time students are required to pay the amount of the regional tax for the right to study in full, the ‘stamp duty’ tax and 50% of the student fees paid by students enrolled in the same programme as full-time students.
Please note: if the student becomes a ‘fuori-corso student’ (i.e. enrolled beyond the normal programme duration) and obtains more CFU credits than permitted, they shall no longer receive benefits as a part-time student and must therefore pay 100% of the student fees due.
Scholarships
Part-time students may apply for scholarships for a number of years equal to twice the normal duration of the programme plus one. This is counted from the year of first enrolment. The amount of the scholarship is 50% of that awarded to full-time students.
‘Fuori-corso’ students
If the student becomes a ‘fuori-corso student’ (i.e. enrolled beyond the normal programme duration) and obtains more CFU credits than permitted, they shall no longer receive benefits as a part-time student and must therefore pay 100% of the student fees due.
Change to part-time study
The request to change from Full-time to Part-time study may be submitted only at the beginning of each academic year, once officially enrolled in the new academic year (i.e. to have fully paid the first instalment of student fees) and in any case by 30 November each year. By the same deadline students will be able to return to full-time study.
