ServiziExam registration requirements
In order to sit the exam, students must:
- be enrolled in the current academic year;
- be up to date with payment of the relevant student fees;
- have included the module/exam in their Study Plan;
- meet any requirements concerning Priority modules and attendance, if applicable;
- have registered for the exam through the appropriate online procedure;
- not having already taken, passed and recorded the exam in their Student exam record, unless otherwise established by the applicable teaching regulations.
How to register
- Access your personal area on Esse3 by logging in using your username and password (login details);
- in the section "Available exam sessions" you will only see those relating to the modules you have included in your Study Plan;
- in the section "Registration" you will see the opening and closing dates for exam sessions: if the blue booklet icon appears on the left-hand side, you can proceed with exam registration; if, on the other hand, the red circle icon appears, this means that registration is not yet available;
- then click on the blue booklet icon to register for the exam;
- a new page will appear with all the specific information (date and time of the exam);
- to proceed with the registration, click > “Prenotati all’appello” (Register for the exam);
- once you have registered, if the procedure is correct, a confirmation message will appear.
Comprehensive written exams: accepting a mark or withdrawing
The results of comprehensive written exams (‘esami scritti verbalizzanti’, i.e. tests with marks that can be automatically recorded without the student having to take further oral or written examinations and the corresponding marks to be recorded) are published by the relevant lecturer and notified directly to the student via an e-mail sent by Esse3.
It is up to the student to accept the mark or withdraw from the examination within a deadline set by the lecturer (the deadline cannot be less than 4 days or more than 12 days from the publication of the result), following the steps indicated in the relevant guide.
Once the deadline for accepting the mark or withdrawing from the exam session has expired, the lecturer may record the mark and the student will receive an e-mail sent by Esse3 informing them that the mark has been recorded in their Student exam record.
The lecturer can record the mark even before the deadline if the student has already expressed their choice.
If the student does not take any action, once the deadline for accepting the mark or withdrawing has expired, the lecturer will record the final module mark.
