Diploma supplement

The Diploma Supplement is a document which includes the graduate’s full academic transcript and is produced by the University and issued to Bachelor’s, Master’s and Single-cycle/Combined Bachelor+Master's graduates (only for graduates from Ministerial Decree no. 509/99 onwards). 

The Diploma Supplement follows the model developed by the European Commission, the Council of Europe and UNESCO and describes the nature, level, context, content and status of the studies carried out and completed by the graduate. The Diploma Supplement only contains official information about the student's academic achievements. 

The Diploma Supplement contains eight sections providing information regarding:

• the holder of the qualification; 
• the qualification type and its originating institution; 
• the qualification level; 
• the content of the course and results gained; 
• function of the qualification; 
• certification of the supplement; 
• details of the national higher education system concerned; 
• other relevant details. 

The Diploma Supplement: 

• does not replace the original diploma or qualification;
• does not automatically guarantee recognition of the original diploma or qualification; 
• is only available in Italian and English; 
• is only provided by e-mail in PDF format; 
• does not include the SSD – Scientific Disciplinary Sectors of the examinations passed; 
• does not contain details of theoretical and practical content and lecture timetables;  
• is not the Transcript of Records (i.e. graduation degree in English, with the full list of exams passed). Please contact your Teaching and Student Services Unit to request one.
